IIDRC Edge Hosts ADR Across Industries Webinar on Construction Disputes

The Institutional and Industrial Dispute Resolution Centre, IIDRC, through its learning and development vertical IIDRC Edge, conducted a focused webinar under its ADR Across Industries series titled ADR in Construction Disputes, Delay, Variations, Cost Escalation and Expert Evidence on Saturday, 3 January 2026.

The one hour online session examined the evolving role of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in addressing complex construction sector disputes. The discussion centred on recurring challenges such as project delays, contractual variations, cost escalation claims, and the increasing reliance on expert evidence, while highlighting best practices for achieving efficient and commercially balanced outcomes.

The panel featured Ms. Shruti Khanijow, Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and Co., Ms. Alisha Mehta, Assistant Professor at Dhirubhai Ambani University, Mr. Mohammed Talib, Partner at Pinsent Masons, Mr. Ramasubramanian, Arbitrator and Mediator, and Ms. Mehak Oberoi, Legal Head Hydropower APAC at GE Vernova. The session was moderated by Mr. Shaurya Dhoundiyal, Counsel at RPV Legal.

The webinar witnessed strong participation from legal practitioners, engineers, in house counsel, and professionals engaged in construction and infrastructure projects. The discussion was marked by practical insights, sector specific perspectives, and active audience engagement. The programme was conducted smoothly and adhered to the scheduled timeline.
