The Institutional and Industrial Dispute Resolution Centre, IIDRC, through its learning and development vertical IIDRC Edge, has launched a new knowledge initiative titled ADR Across Industries with the successful conduct of its first webinar, “Why Sectoral Expertise Matters in Modern Dispute Resolution,” on Saturday, 13 December 2025.
The one hour online session brought together leading dispute resolution practitioners to examine the role of industry specific knowledge in enhancing the effectiveness of arbitration and other dispute resolution processes. The discussion highlighted how sectoral familiarity contributes to improved decision making, procedural efficiency, and commercially sound outcomes in complex disputes.
The panel comprised Mr. Gauhar Mirza, Partner at Saraf and Partners, Mr. Nitin Gupta, Partner at Asia Law Offices, Mr. Shivang Yammanur, Partner at Dentons Link Legal, and Ms. Surabhi Lal, Senior Associate at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and Co. The session was moderated by Mr. Akarsh Pandey, Associate at Numen Law Offices. An introductory overview of IIDRC and the series was delivered by Ms. Neha Saifi, Relationship Manager at IIDRC.
The webinar received strong participation from legal professionals, in house counsel, and dispute resolution practitioners, with active engagement throughout the session. The programme commenced and concluded on time, with seamless coordination and no technical disruptions.
The inaugural session successfully established the direction and relevance of the ADR Across Industries series and reinforced IIDRC Edge’s role as a practitioner led platform for structured, industry focused discourse in dispute resolution. Further sessions under the series will continue to explore sector specific perspectives shaping contemporary ADR practice.
