Noida, December 8, 2025:

The Institutional and Industrial Dispute Resolution Centre, IIDRC, conducted an in person training programme titled “Mediation Lab, Practical Training under the Mediation Act, 2023” on Monday, 8 December 2025, at its premises in Noida. The three hour Mediation Lab was designed as a skill focused initiative aimed at strengthening the practical understanding of mediation law and practice among law students and young professionals.

Held in a training lab format, the session emphasised the real world application of mediation principles, statutory frameworks, and practitioner perspectives under the Mediation Act, 2023. The programme sought to bridge the gap between academic learning and on ground mediation practice through focused discussions and experiential insights.

The session was led by Dr. Mansi Jain Garg, Head of the ADR Cell at Galgotias University, who guided participants through the foundational concepts and statutory structure governing mediation in India. Dr. Ashu Dhiman joined the programme as session faculty and shared practical perspectives on mediation processes and application. Mr. Param Bhamra attended the session as a guest.

The Mediation Lab attracted registrations from a diverse group of aspiring professionals, with participants actively engaging in discussions, queries, and practical segments throughout the session. The interactive format encouraged meaningful participation and reflection on contemporary mediation practice.

Designed as a practice oriented and immersive learning experience, the Mediation Lab concluded with participant feedback and reflections, highlighting the value of structured, hands on training in dispute resolution. Through initiatives such as the Mediation Lab, IIDRC continues to advance its commitment to capacity building and professional development in mediation and alternative dispute resolution, supporting the development of a practice ready ADR ecosystem in India.
